No person shall own or have in his or her possession within the city any vehicle unless such vehicle shall have the current distinctive identification and number plates assigned thereto by the Oklahoma tax commission. Such plate shall be securely fastened to the vehicle for which issued. The plate is to be attached to the rear of the vehicle. Both plate and all letters and numbers must be clearly visible at all times. Such plate shall clearly indicate the type and nature of the operation for which such vehicle shall be used, whether for agricultural purposes, motor bus, or the transportation of persons for purposes other than for hire or compensation.
