6-5-8: LIABILITY OF SUCCESSIVE PROPERTY OWNERS:
Every successive owner of property who neglects or fails to abate a continuing nuisance upon or in the use of such property, although originally created or commenced by a former owner, is liable for the nuisance in the same way and to the same extent as the former owner. A continuing nuisance means one that was commenced by, or permitted on property owned by, a former owner and continues without abatement during the ownership of one or more successive owners, regardless whether constant or sporadic.
