6-3-2: PUBLIC DISPLAYS:
Supervised public displays shall be permitted with a permit issued by the city, subject to compliance with the requirements of the city fire department and the national fire protection act (NFPA) 1123. The use of fireworks before a proximate audience (as defined by the NFPA) shall be permitted with a fireworks permit and subject to compliance with NFPA 1126. Permits may be obtained from the city at a fee as established by the city manager and posted publicly. The permit fee may be waived, upon written request, in the sole discretion of the city manager, for the benefit of qualified tax exempt organizations as defined in subsection 6-3-3B of this chapter. Permits must be available for inspection by the city at all times during the display, including the setup and tear down of the launch site and staging area. (Ord. 693, 12-15-2014)
