1-12-10: EXCAVATIONS:
   A.   Permit Fees: Set by resolution of the city council.
   B.   Insurance Required: All persons, firms, or corporations wishing to make excavations within public rights of way within the city shall file with the city a certificate of insurance, or its equivalent, providing for public liability coverage in the sum of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) or amount determined by city insurance carrier in the aggregate for any one incident to protect, indemnify and save harmless parties thereto and their servants, agents and employees from any expense, cost damage and liability of any kind or nature whatsoever resulting from or which may arise as a result of said applicant’s opening of any said streets, avenues, alleys or which may in anywise or manner be connected with or related thereto. The contractor shall also be required to provide proof of workers’ compensation and all other types of insurance required by local, state and federal law or regulation.
