10-3-25: DAMAGE TO UTILITY FACILITIES:
   A.   The person installing water service lines, fire lines, or combinations thereof, shall cause to be immediately repaired at his expense, any damage to the public mains occasioned by his operations.
   B.   No person(s) shall maliciously, wilfully, or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface, or tamper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the utility facilities of the water department. Any person(s) violating this provision shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
   C.   It is an offense punishable pursuant to the general penalty provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for any person to do the following:
      1.   To open, close, turn or interfere with, or attach to, or connect to a fire hydrant, stop valve or main line valve belonging to the water department without proper permission.
      2.   To throw any deleterious matter into the river within three thousand feet (3,000') of the inlet pipes to the water treatment plant pumping works. (Ord. 03-2001, 3-20-2001)
