A. Required: Persons who contract to make connections to public water mains, or to install water service lines, fire lines, or combinations thereof, or to make repairs, alterations, or extensions to such facilities, shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of completion of said work.
B. Defects:
1. Necessary Corrections: Said persons warrant guarantee for a period of one year from the date of completion of the work that said completed work is free from all defects due to faulty materials or workmanship, and such persons shall promptly make such corrections as may be necessary by reason of such defects, including the repairs of any damage to the public water main resulting from such defects.
2. Notice Of Defects: The city shall give notice of observed defects with reasonable promptness.
3. Failure To Correct Defects: In the event the persons performing such work should fail to make such repairs, adjustments, or the work that may be made necessary by such defects, the city may make arrangements for the performance of such work by others and charge such persons the cost thereby incurred.
