A. Water And Sewer Rates And Service Charge: Every customer shall pay water and sewer rates and other water service charges according to the schedule established by resolution of the city council, as provided in Montana Code Annotated title 69, chapter 7, part 1; provided, that said resolution shall not have an effective date until ten (10) days after the date of adoption.
B. Hydrant Charge: A hydrant charge shall be assessed yearly against all taxable property in the city according to a schedule set down by the city council, in writing, as provided in Montana Code Annotated title 69, chapter 7, part 1.
C. Rate Schedule: The city water department may adopt either a flat rate schedule, meter rate schedule, or both, according to such schedule being established by the city council, as provided in Montana Code Annotated title 69, chapter 7, part 1.
D. Free Water: The water department shall not supply free water to any customer.
E. Connection/Disconnection Fee: Should the owner of a premises request to temporarily discontinue the use of the water, or should the premises become vacant, the city, after receiving a signed request, will shut off the water at the curb box, if operational. The city water department shall charge a fee for such connection/disconnection of water meters according to a schedule established by the city council in accordance with Montana Code Annotated title 69, chapter 7, part 1.
F. Reestablishment Fee: The city water department shall charge a reestablishment fee, according to a schedule established by resolution of the city council, in accordance with Montana Code Annotated title 69, chapter 7, part 1, for turning off/on the curb stop if the disconnection is caused by the delinquent payment of water rate fees by the customer or because of damage to the water meter, or connections thereto, because of the customer's failure to maintain water service lines and fire lines, as set forth in subsection 10-3-2L of this chapter, or to provide appropriate precautions to prevent the freezing of water meters. G. Water And Sewer Connection Fees:
1. The Glendive city council shall adopt water and sewer connection fee schedules by resolution as deemed necessary. Fee schedules shall be available to the public at the Glendive City Hall. (Ord. 01-2012, 3-20-2012)
