A. Required: No person who resides within the city shall ride or propel a bicycle on any street unless such bicycle has been licensed and such license is attached thereto.
B. Application; Fee: Application for bicycle license shall be made upon a form provided by the city and shall be made to the chief of police; a license fee as provided in subsection 1-12-10A of this code shall be paid to the city before each license or transfer thereof is granted.
C. Issuance; Term: The chief of police or persons designated by him upon receiving proper application for a license as provided by the preceding section of this chapter is authorized to issue a bicycle license which shall be effective from the date of issue. License period is January 1 through December 31. Bicycles must be licensed upon purchase. (1983 Revised Code § 10.16.005)
