A. Authority To Remove: The police department and all members thereof assigned are authorized to remove and tow away, or have towed away by commercial towing service, any car or other vehicle parked in any place where such parked vehicle creates or constitutes a hazard, blocks the use of a fire hydrant, or obstructs or may obstruct the movement of any emergency vehicle.
B. Storage: Vehicles so towed away shall be stored in a public or private place and returned to the owner or operator of such vehicle upon payment of towing charges plus storage fees as provided for in section 1-12-9 of this code. (Ord. 02-2003, 5-20-2003)
