Whenever in this chapter the following terms are used, they shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:
PARKING CONTROL OFFICER: Any person employed by the city with the authority given to such person to issue notices or citations for violations of the parking ordinances.
PRIVATE ROAD OR DRIVEWAY: Every way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by other persons.
ROADWAY: That portion of a highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, exclusive of the berm or shoulder.
SIDEWALK: That portion of a street between the curb lines or the lateral lines of a roadway, and the adjacent property lines, intended for use by pedestrians.
STREET: The entire width between the boundary lines of every publicly maintained way when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular traffic.
VEHICLE: A conveyance propelled by motor power. (Ord. 02-2003, 5-20-2003)
