(A) Any appeal filed pursuant to this chapter, other than an appeal of a civil penalty pursuant to § 153.99, shall be filed in writing, shall describe the basis for the appeal, and shall first be filed with the Building Official. Any decision relating to the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction or interpretation by the Building Official with regard to this chapter may be appealed to the Board of Appeals in conformance with procedures provided herein.
(B) Any person aggrieved by a decision of the Building Official made pursuant to the following specialty codes may appeal that decision to the following:
(1) Electrical Specialty Code: to the state’s Building Codes Division, Chief Electrical Inspector;
(2) Structural Specialty Code: to the state’s Building Codes Structures Boards;
(3) Mechanical Specialty Code: to the state’s Building Codes Structures Board;
(4) Plumbing Specialty Code: to the state’s Building Codes Division;
(5) One- and Two-Family Dwelling Specialty Code: to the state’s Building Codes Structures Board;
(6) Manufactured Dwelling Code: to the state’s Manufactured Structures and Parks Advisory Board as per ORS 455.690; and
(7) Recreational Park and Organizational Camp Regulations: to the State Manufactured Structures and Parks Advisory Board as per ORS 455.690.
