ORDINANCE NO. 2020 - 51
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 8 ENTITLED, “TRAFFIC SCHEDULES,” OF TITLE 7 ENTITLED, “MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC,”
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF GLENDALE HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS
(Eliminate School Related Parking Restrictions on President Street)
 
WHEREAS, there is no longer a need to restrict parking on certain portions of President Street; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Glendale Heights deems it necessary and desirable to amend Title 7, Chapter 8, of the Glendale Heights Village Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Glendale Heights, DuPage County, Illinois, as follows:
   Section 1:   That Section 7-8-3 entitled, “Parking Restrictions,” of Chapter 8 entitled, “Traffic Schedules,” of Title 7 entitled, “Motor Vehicles and Traffic,” of the Glendale Heights Village Code is amended as follows:
By deleting the following language from the list of streets contained in Section 7-8-3 (B) (1):
 
“President Street
East
From its intersection with Schubert northward to the north edge of the driveway located at 1747 President Street between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.”
 
   Section 2:   That Section 7-8-3 entitled, “Parking Restrictions,” of Chapter 8 entitled, “Traffic Schedules,” of Title 7 entitled, “Motor Vehicles and Traffic,” of the Glendale Heights Village Code is further amended as follows:
By deleting the following language from the list of streets contained in Section 7-8-3 (B) (2) under “President Street”:
 
East
From the north edge of the driveway located at 1747 President Street northward to its intersection with Stevenson Drive between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. for 15 minutes”
 
Section 3:   That the remainder of Section 7-8-3 entitled, “Parking Restrictions,” of Chapter 8 entitled, “Traffic Schedules,” of Title 7 entitled, “Motor Vehicles and Traffic,” of the Glendale Heights Village Code shall remain unchanged.
Section 4:   All signage relating to the restriction of said parking shall be removed.
Section 5:   That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
