§ 95.11 SIGNS OVER SIDEWALKS OR STREETS.
   It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to set up or place any sign, signboard, signpost, or pole, meat-rack, hooks, or other device or thing whatever to denote or show his, her, or their occupation or business, or the merchandise or anything which he, she, or they have to dispose of, in or over any of the sidewalks, streets, or other public thoroughfares of the village, if the sign or device shall extend from the line of the street or building into or over the sidewalk, street, or thoroughfare, more than 18 inches, or shall be less than eight feet above the level of the sidewalk, street, or thoroughfare.
