(A) The Mayor, from time to time as a salaried employees performance may warrant, may approve of a certain monetary contribution within the Glendale Deferred Compensation Plan, as administered by the International City Managers Association, herein called the ICMA Plan, and that said contribution, when warranted and approved, is considered merit compensation upon said eligible employee.
(B) Activation of said monetary contribution within the ICMA Plan, and to the credit of certain employees, shall not be valid without the Mayor's written authorization, of which a specified amount is described, and that said authorization has been reviewed by Council, void of said Council's objection, and placed within said employees personnel records, and that said contribution will remain in effect, paid in a timely fashion to the ICMA Plan, until such authorization and activation is cancelled by the Mayor.
