§ 32.37 COMMISSION AND APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS.
   Special police officers performing special police duties for the benefit of, and at the expense of private persons or corporations, may be appointed and commissioned by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation of Council, on application of the private persons or corporations, and a showing of the necessity of this action. The special police officers so appointed, and commissioned, shall be subject to the orders of the Mayor, and Police Chief, and shall obey the rules and regulations of the Police Department. They shall give bond in the same amount as police officers, and shall possess the power of police officers in arresting persons for offenses against the laws and ordinances. The Mayor may, at any time, revoke the commission of the special police officer for cause, which shall be stated in writing to Council.
