§ 32.23 COMPENSATION.
   (A) The active members of the Village Fire Department shall be paid an hourly rate as determined by annual pay ordinance.

   (B)   The volunteer firefighters of the village are hereby granted the option not to take compensation for services rendered to the village through its Fire Department.
