11-4-2: INSPECTION OF IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED:
The subdivider/developer shall notify the Director of Public Works not less than one week in advance of both the start and completion of construction.
   A.   Civil Engineer Inspection: The subdivider/developer shall provide for a licensed Illinois Civil Engineer to inspect all public improvements while under construction and provide to the Public Works Director a statement that all public improvements are in compliance with this Code.
   B.   Public Works Department Inspection: The Public Works Department shall inspect said improvements and review on site reports by the consulting engineer while improvements are under construction. If the Director determines that improvements are being built in violation of this Code, he shall immediately notify the subdivider/developer. The subdivider/developer shall stop work and correct the deficiencies before resuming additional construction.
   C.   Compliance With Code Verified Before Acceptance: The Public Works Department or its consultant shall inspect improvements during construction and upon completion. The Village shall not accept any completed improvement until the Public Works Director or their consultant has stated in writing that it complies with this Code.
   D.   Subdivider Responsible For Construction: The Director of Public Works is not responsible for direction of the subdivider/developer's construction work or that of his contractors. (Ord. 2015-17, 4-14-2015; amd. Ord. 2018-07, 4-24-2018)
