7-3-7: USE OF BIKE PATH AND TRAIL PARK:
   A.   Uses Permitted Generally; Hours: The bike path and adjacent trail park areas are open for the permitted uses stated herein during the hours of sunrise to sunset. Any other use not specifically provided for under this chapter is prohibited.
   B.   Pedestrian And Bicycle Use; Dogs Restricted: The bike path is open for bicycle and pedestrian use. Dogs may accompany their owners only when under the control of a leash.
   C.   Cross-Country Skiing: Cross-country snow skiing is allowed along the bike path when weather conditions permit. Skiing is not permitted off the bike path in the adjacent trail park areas.
   D.   Pedestrian Use Of Trail Park Areas: The adjacent trail park areas are for pedestrian use only in conjunction with hiking, walking and jogging activities except where posted otherwise.
   E.   Battery-Powered, Motorized Vehicles:
      1.   No battery-powered or motorized vehicle shall be allowed on the bike path or adjacent trail park areas unless necessary for maintenance, policing or emergency aid, except as provided in subsection G of this section.
      2.   No person shall operate any type of motorized snow vehicle or equipment on the bike path or trail park areas.
   F.   Traffic Regulations:
      1.   Every person operating a bicycle or acting as a pedestrian upon a bike path shall follow all applicable traffic laws of the state and the village.
      2.   All bicycle users will utilize the improved surface lane of the bike path.
      3.   No person shall park a bicycle upon the surface of a bicycle path in such a way as to impede the traffic along that bikeway.
      4.   Driving on adjacent trail park areas is prohibited, except in the parking lot, in designated rest areas, and in historical marked areas.
      5.   Parking areas at the far east and west ends of the trail park are open to provide parking for trail users. These areas are closed to the public during the hours of sunset to sunrise except for the west parking lot which is open for ball game parking during evening ball games. No person shall park any vehicle in front of the bike path gates or the areas between the gates and roadway at Collinsville Street and Glen Crossing Road.
   G.   Wheelchairs: Self-propelled, battery-powered and motorized wheelchairs are permitted on the bike path for use by handicapped persons.
   H.   Horses: Equestrian use of the bike path or adjacent trail park areas is prohibited.
   I.   Liquor: The use of alcoholic beverages on the bike path or adjacent trail park areas is strictly prohibited. (Ord. 91-65, 11-12-1991)
