7-2-2: GENERAL USE REGULATIONS:
   A.   Hours: Except for parking areas where other times have been specifically designated, village parks shall be open to the public beginning at dawn and closing at sunset each day, except when sanctioned activities are scheduled. No person or group of persons shall be permitted to use such parks or its facilities outside the limits of the foregoing hours without having first secured a written permit from the village administrator.
   B.   Trash And Refuse: Refuse containers of all kinds are provided at the parks, and all users of a park and its facilities shall deposit their trash and refuse in such containers. It shall be unlawful for any person using a park or its facilities to allow trash or other refuse to be thrown, scattered or otherwise deposited upon the park premises in other than a container designated for such use.
   C.   Vehicle And Traffic Control:
      1.   Vehicles shall be parked only in areas designated for parking or along roadways so long as the vehicles do not block any roadway or driveway.
      2.   No motorized vehicle shall be operated off the roadways within the confines of any park or public lands unless it is a village maintenance vehicle or the owner has permission from the public works director to load/unload certain items for large group outings.
      3.   Vehicles are not permitted on grassy areas or near pavilions or picnic tables.
      4.   It shall be unlawful to change oil, repair, tune up, or replace any parts on any vehicle in any park or public lands.
      5.   No person shall use or operate a motorized scooter ro e-scooter within a park or on public lands.
   D.   Liquor: It shall be unlawful to have any alcoholic beverage on park or public lands premises without written permission of the local liquor control commissioner.
   E.   Reservations For Use: Any person wishing to reserve a sheltered pavilion, gazebo, bandstand, or log cabin facility must first apply at Village Hall by written application and receive permission for said use. If the applicant is not a Village resident a fee in the amount as shown in the Schedule of Fees found in Section 1-16-1 of the Village Code will be charged.
   F.   Restrictions On Certain Activities: Activities such as rollerblading, skateboarding or related activity is strictly prohibited on designated surfaces such as tennis courts, basketball courts, or under structures such as pavilions, bandstands, gazebos, or log cabin structures. Rollerblading and skateboarding are prohibited in Schon Park.
   G.   Animal Control:
      1.   It shall be unlawful to permit any animal, pet or reptile to run at large in any park or public lands.
      2.   No person shall ride any horse, pony or other equestrian animal within the confines of the parks or public lands.
   H.   Noise Control:
      1.   It shall be unlawful to cause, create, or make any loud noises in any park or public lands.
      2.   No amplifying equipment may be used in any park or public lands without written permission of the public works director.
      3.   It is strictly prohibited to use radios, DVD, CD, or cassette players, televisions or amplification systems in or out of vehicles, or operate vehicles with modified mufflers which produce loud sounds within any park or public lands.
   I.   Overnight Activities: Persons are not permitted to remain overnight in any park or public lands unless permission is first obtained from the village administrator.
   J.   Damage To Property:
      1.   It shall be unlawful to wilfully mark upon, deface, damage, destroy or remove any park facility or property of any nature.
      2.   It shall be unlawful to climb on any roof structure or get on top of any park building, pavilion, bandstand, comfort stations, gazebo, or log cabin structures.
   K.   Firearms Prohibited: No firearms are allowed as delineated by Illinois state statute.
   L.   Lakes And Waterways:
      1.   No swimming, wading or ice skating or ice fishing allowed on lakes or waterways.
      2.   No boating, of any type, is allowed on lakes or waterways.
      3.   A valid state of Illinois fishing license is required to fish on lakes or waterways.
   M.   Fire And Open Burning:
      1.   No open burning allowed.
      2.   Fires allowed only in grills that are utilized for cooking purposes and must be extinguished before leaving.
   N.   Sledding In Miner Park: Sledding in Miner Park is permitted subject to the following conditions:
      1.   Sledding, snowboarding at own risk.
      2.   Children under sixteen (16) must be accompanied by an adult.
      3.   Sledding permitted during daylight hours only.
      4.   Return to top of hill on outside of designated area.
      5.   Sledding and snowboarding permitted in fenced area only.
   O.   Miner Park Bark Park General Rules And Regulations:
      1.   Users shall assume all liability and risk related to use.
      2.   Users are responsible for their dog's behavior.
      3.   No aggressive dogs.
      4.   No dogs in heat.
      5.   Male dogs over six (6) months must be neutered.
      6.   Dogs may not be left unattended.
      7.   Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated.
      8.   Users are responsible for cleaning up after their dog.
      9.   Small children must be supervised at all times.
      10.   All village animal regulation ordinances apply.
   P.   Schon Park Lake Fishing Regulations:
      1.   Fishing Time 7:00 A.M. to dusk.
      2.   Current Illinois Fishing License required.
      3.   2 pole and line fishing only.
      4.   No bankline, troutline, jug or bow fishing allowed.
      5.   No swimming or wading.
      6.   No boats allowed.
      7.   Daily Limits:

Channel Catfish
2 daily
Crappie
4 daily (9" minimum)
Large Mouth Bass
2 daily (17" minimum)
