A. Holding License Or Serving Liquor Prohibited: No licensee may be under the age of twenty one (21) years, and no servant or agent of the licensee who draws, pours or mixes any alcoholic liquor may be under the age of eighteen (18) years.
B. Employment:
1. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years to draw, pour or mix any alcoholic liquor in any licensed retail premises.
2. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years to sell, serve or deliver alcoholic liquor in a licensed retail premises. (Ord. 2012-10, 3-13-2012)
3. The licensee of the licensed retail premises or the manager or another employee of the licensed premises who is over twenty one (21) years of age must be present on the licensed retail premises during all hours of operation.
C. Misrepresentation Of Age: Any minor who misrepresents his age for the purpose of purchasing or receiving alcoholic liquor in any place in the village where liquor is sold, or in any manner makes any attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor in the village shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided in this code.
D. Be Upon Premises:
1. No minor shall patronize, frequent or loiter in any establishment deriving its principal business from the sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises.
2. No licensee, his agent or employees, shall suffer or permit any minor to remain in any room or compartment adjoining or adjacent to or situated in the room or place where such licensed premises are located; provided, however, that this prohibition shall not apply to any minor who is accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian, or to any licensed premises which derives its principal business from the sale of services or of commodities other than alcoholic liquor.
E. Possession Prohibited: No minor shall at any time have any alcoholic liquor in his possession other than as authorized in this code and in the Illinois liquor control act.
F. Penalty: Any person convicted of violating any provision of this Section shall be punishable as shown in the Schedule of Fees found Section 1-16-1 of the Village Code. (Ord. 2000-27, 8-8-2000; amd. Ord. 2012-10, 3-13-2012; Ord. 2021-23, 7-27-2021)
