(A) (1) Both the service line and the house lines must be tested with air pressure of 15 pounds per square inch and the lines will be required to hold this pressure for 15 minutes with no pressure drop. Extensions to any work or repairs or changes in any lines must be tested the same as a new installation. Piping shall be tested only with air pressure and soap suds shall be used to locate leaks. Gas or any exposed flame shall not be used under any conditions. No piping shall be concealed until after inspection, test and approval by the inspector.
(2) Gas will be turned on only by the gas company employees and only after the pressure test specified above has been made on the piping and proper approval given.
(B) Plumbers and gas fitters shall test their work and be certain it is installed according to specifications before calling for an inspection. The plumber or gas fitter shall be present in all cases when the test and inspection is made.
