(A) The following requirements apply to all new single-phase wiring installations and all new work on existing single-phase wiring installations at the time of any alteration. This subchapter, like the National Electric Code, is a statement of the minimum specifications required to establish reasonable regulations providing safety measures for the protection of life and property in providing standards for all materials, installation and use of facilities, equipment, devices and appliances conducting, conveying, consuming or otherwise using electrical energy in any building, structure or on any premises receiving electrical service from the Electric Plant Board.
(B) This subchapter is not intended to give specifications for adequate wiring to handle future loads. All specific electrical problems not covered in this code should be referred to the applicable section of the National Electric Code.
