(A) The Chief of Police or other authorized city official shall have the authority whenever, in his or her judgment, it is necessary to prohibit or restrict the parking of vehicles along a street or part thereof constituting a part of the route of a parade or procession, to erect temporary traffic signs to that effect and to prohibit and prevent the parking.
(B) It shall be unlawful to park or leave unattended any vehicle in violation of the signs or directions.
