(A) The City Council, pursuant to all applicable provisions of KRS 220.135, as amended by the General Assembly, on or about April 1, 1994, by this section expresses its intention not to become a part of any sanitation district and to retain ownership, control of and responsibility for its sanitary sewer system and for its storm drainage system.
(B) By the adoption of this section the city acknowledges that it shall be solely responsible for compliance with applicable regulations promulgated by the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet.
