§ 35.35 PRE-HIRE TESTING PROCEDURES.
   (A)   Qualifications.
      (1)   All applicants must be at least 21 years of age, must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., and must possess a valid driver’s license.
      (2)   All applicants must complete a City of Glasgow employment application.
   (B)   Pre-hire testing process. All applicants shall undergo standardized written testing, as well as a physical agility test designed and implemented by the Glasgow Fire Department. Testing will be conducted as needed at the direction of the Fire Chief and/or Mayor. The Fire Chief shall have the authority to modify the pre-hire testing process from time to time as he or she deems appropriate.
   (C)   Oral interview process. At the conclusion of all pre-hire testing, applicants shall undergo an oral interview process to be designed and implemented by the Fire Chief who shall have the authority to modify the oral interview process as he or she deems appropriate.
   (D)   Hiring recommendations. At the conclusion of the oral interview process, hiring recommendations shall be submitted to the Mayor for approval or disapproval. Additionally, the Mayor may consider for hire any other applicant who has successfully completed the entire pre-hire testing and oral interview process.
