§ 35.33 CALLS OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      FIRST RESPONDER. Including those situations in which the city’s Fire Department is called by an individual property owner or one acting on behalf of an individual property owner.
   (B)   The city’s Fire Department will not respond to fire calls received from outside the city limits made to it as a “first responder.”
   (C)   The city’s Fire Department shall continue to respond to calls for service at fires outside the city limits when made by a properly authorized official of a Barren County volunteer Fire Department and where the call is for the purpose of requesting mutual assistance at a fire being serviced by a volunteer fire department, for a fire at a school facility outside the city limits.
   (D)   The city’s Fire Department shall continue to provide assistance in extricating vehicles or in extricating persons from vehicles throughout Barren County.
