§ 35.32 FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   The position of Fire Chief is hereby established.
   (B)   Subject to the executive authority of the Mayor, the Chief of the Fire Department shall be responsible for the organization and operation of the Fire Department and shall supervise, direct and control the equipment of the Fire Department and the firefighters in their response to fires and the extinguishment thereof and the plans, preparations, procedures, practice and training in regard thereto, and may, as Chief of the Fire Department, perform or cause to be performed all other actions authorized by law, ordinance or regulation.
   (C)   The compensation of the Fire Chief shall be in an amount to be established by City Council by ordinance, in accordance with the Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan.
