(A) There is hereby established a Fire Department in the city.

(B) (1) There am hereby created the following four new class titles:
(a) Fire Secretary. Position description set forth in Exhibit A-1 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(b) 911 Dispatcher/Records and Equipment Supervisor. Position description set forth in Exhibit A attached to Ordinance 2549 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(c) 911 Director of Barren Metcalfe Emergency Communication Center. Position description set forth in Exhibit B attached to Ordinance 2549 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(d) Fire Fighter Inspector. Position description set forth in Exhibit A-3 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(2) Class titles set forth in divisions (B)(1)(a) and (b) above are "non-hazardous" positions and class title set forth in division (B)(1)(c) is a "hazardous" position.
(C) The following class titles which currently exist at the Fire Department shall be and are hereby henceforth abolished and repealed:
(1) Fire Secretary/Fire Prevention Officer.
(2) Fire Fighter Recruit.
(3) Public Safety Director.
(D) (1) The following class titles currently exist at the Fire Department:
(a) Fire Chief.
(b) Fire Major/Training Officer.
(c) Safety Officer Coordinator/Battalion Chief.
(d) Fire Captain.
(e) Fire Lieutenant.
(f) Fire Sargent.
(g) Fire Fighter/Inspector.
(h) Fire Fighter.
(i) Fire Communications Technician.
(2) These class titles, as well as their respective position descriptions, shall be, and hereby are, amended as follows:
(a) Fire Chief. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-1 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(b) Fire Major/Training Officer shall be changed to the class title of Assistant Fire Chief. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-8 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(c) Fire Safety Coordinator/Battalion Chief shall be changed to the class title of Battalion Chief. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-2 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(d) Fire Captain. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-3 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(e) Fire Lieutenant. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-4 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(f) Fire Sergeant. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-5 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(g) Fire Fighter. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit B-6 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
(h) Fire Communications Technician. Position description is amended and set forth in Exhibit A-1 attached to Ordinance 2485 and incorporated herein by reference as if specifically set forth.
