§ 38.06 QUOTATION OR BID REQUIREMENTS.
   Except as provided in §§ 38.07 through 38.13, prior to purchase of goods or services, quotations or bids shall be sought according to the following schedule:
 
Dollar Range
Quotation or Bid Requirements
$0—$4,999
Whether quotations or bids are sought shall be at the discretion of the Town Manager
$5,000—$9,999.99
A minimum of 3 telephone quotations shall be sought
$10,000—$24,999.99
A minimum of 3 written quotations shall be sought
$25,000.00 and up
Formal solicitation with newspaper advertising with requirement of sealed bid shall be sought from a minimum of 3 suppliers/vendors. The town may waive the sealed bid and/or advertisement requirements when determined it's in the best interest of the town, or an emergency is declared
