§ 31.008 POLICE CHIEF.
   The Police Chief shall perform duties as may be required of him or her by law. The Police Chief shall be the head of the department and all employees assigned thereto. All such employees shall perform their duties subject to the supervision of the police chief, who shall operate under the direction of the Town Manager and report to the Town Manager. In lieu of a Police Chief, the Town Council may contract with Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) for the provision of police services. Should the Town Council contract with MCSO in lieu of a Police Chief and Police Department, the commanding officer assigned by MCSO shall report to the Town Manager.
