This chapter shall be deemed to be an enlargement and not a limitation or restriction on the power or authority of the Village, or any officer thereof, to take any action or bring any suit or proceeding in respect to public nuisances otherwise provided for by statute, law or ordinance. Proceedings under this Chapter or shall not relieve any party defendant from criminal prosecution or punishment under this Code or any other criminal law or ordinance in force within the Village.
