The purpose of the Exterior Maintenance Code is to promote and protect the public health, safety and welfare of our community by adopting minimal standards for the exterior maintenance for buildings, structures and premises. This is to be accomplished by fixing certain responsibilities upon owners and occupants; authorizing and establishing procedures for inspections and reviewing orders issued hereunder and hearing appeals thereon; and fixing penalties for violations hereof.
