Village employees shall request and receive permission from their respective division head and/or immediate supervisor prior to attending any and all forms of relevant continuing education, seminars, classes, films, or demonstrations within the scope of their respective job classification if the educational experience will benefit the employee and the Village. This policy envisions educational involvement by the employee tailored to meet practical job performance problems and as a result of such education to identify and solve them, but does not constitute a Village sponsorship or long range college degree program of employee.
