(a) All employees covered by this chapter shall respond to a call to work outside of their regular schedule of hours if contacted by the department head or any other person with authority to call them to work, (call in pay). Any employee who is called in shall receive pay at one and one-half times their regular hourly rate for the greater of two hours or time actually worked. The rate of call in pay, time and one-half, shall be paid regardless of the number of hours worked by the employee in the work week.
(b) When a service employee (non-police) is “On Call” on a Saturday and a Sunday, the service employee shall receive regular time pay, not time and one-half, for the greater of four hours per day or the number of hours actually worked.
