(a) Subject to Section 505.12.1 of the Codified Ordinances, the hunting of animals or fowl within the municipality is prohibited. No person shall hunt, trap, kill or attempt to kill any animal or fowl by the use of firearms or any other means.

(b) "Fur-bearing animals" means any animal, the pelt or hide of which has any commercial value, including, but not limited to minks, weasels, raccoons, skunks, opossums, rabbits, squirrels, woodchucks, muskrats, fox, deer and beaver.
(c) In the event the existence of fur-bearing animals shall constitute a nuisance on any property, the owner or occupant shall notify the Animal Control Officer of such condition. If, in the opinion of the Animal Control Officer, a nuisance condition is found to exist, said officer or the designated animal trapper licensed by the State of Ohio may engage in trapping of said animal(s).
(d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
