505.03 IMPOUNDING AND DISPOSITION; RECORDS.
   (a)    A police officer or animal warden may impound every dog, cat or other animal found in violation of Section 505.02. Upon impoundment, the Animal Control Officer or other authorized animal control officer may deliver such dog, cat or other animal to the County Animal Shelter. Any impoundment or disposal of said animal subsequent thereto shall be governed by the rules and/or policies of said shelter.
   (b)    A record of all dogs impounded, the disposition of the same, the owner's name and address, if known, and a statement of any costs or receipts involving such dogs shall be kept by the Municipality.
   (c)    Wild animals are the property of the State of Ohio and may be disposed of at the discretion of the County Animal Shelter. The Animal Control Officer or other authorized animal control officer shall inform the affected property owner of the outcome of a wild animal removal. (Ord. 10-40. Passed 11-1-10.)
