(a) "Animal" means any live, vertebrate creature, domestic or wild.
(b) "Animal Control Officer" means any person or persons so employed or designated by the Village for the purpose of animal control under all applicable laws.
(c) "Domesticated" means any animal which is accepted by the general public as tamable and bred as tamed animals for the purposes of man.
(d) "Exotic" means any animal which is foreign and generally not indigenous to the local community.
(e) "Owner" means any person owning, keeping, harboring or having care, custody or control of one or more animals.
(f) "Shelter" means a structure or device sufficient to protect any animal from direct contact with the elements (wind, rain, snow, etc.)
(g) "Wild" means any animal which generally lives in its original, natural state and is not normally domesticated. (Ord. 10-40. Passed 11-1-10.)
