373.071 TURN AND STOP SIGNALS.
   (a)   Any operator of a bicycle intending to turn right or left shall give an intention of signal continuously for at least the last 100 feet traveled by the bicycle before turning, and continuously while the bicycle is stopped waiting to turn. A signal of intention to stop or slow shall be given continuously for at least the last 100 feet traveled before coming to a stop. A signal by hand or arm need not be given continuously if the hand is needed in the safe operation or control of the bicycle. (Ord. 94-56. Passed 4-3-95.)
   (b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
