The Board, in its advisory capacity, shall review and provide recommendations on the following:
(a) Salaries of Pool Manager, Assistant Manager, guards and concession personnel;
(b) Daily admission fees, costs of season passes and opening and closing dates of the pool;
(c) Any special admissions policy such as the cost of pool rental for parties, special group rates, etc.;
(d) The Pool Manual, which establishes municipal policy and personnel responsibilities for day-to-day operation of the pool. The Pool Manager shall be reviewed annually;
(e) Water treatment policy, chemical use and pool/equipment operational procedures;
(f) New ideas to improve or expand pool services to the community;
(g) Maintenance policy and practice at the pool;
(h) Long-and short-term maintenance requirements. Short-term items include the annual pool opening and closing procedures as well as day-to-day servicing and repair practices and procedures for the pool house, restrooms, concession area, pump house, pool and yard. Long-term items include the pool area and building upkeep such as painting, roofing, fence maintenance, filter/media replacement, deck repairs, pump overhauls, electrical motor overhaul, etc.:
(i) A list of capital improvement projects for the pool. This list shall be prioritized and presented to Council annually. The Board shall research innovative ways to fund and implement these projects. The Board shall work with the Parks and Recreation Board to obtain an annual funding appropriation for capital improvement projects;
(j) The pool’s budget and expenditures both monthly and annually; and
(k) Such other issues that may be requested by Council.
