(a) In the event of an emergency and upon the request of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office by the highest ranking officer of that office on duty at the time of such emergency, the Municipality is hereby authorized to provide police assistance to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office upon the authorization of the highest ranking officer
of that department on duty at the time that such request is made.
(b) Such police manpower and equipment may be recalled at the sole discretion of the highest ranking officer of the Municipality on duty at the time that such equipment and/or manpower is provided.
(c) The Municipal Clerk shall certify a copy of this section to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
