For purposes of interpretation and enforcement of any and all laws of the Municipality and of the State and Federal government, the “municipal water system” means the pipe supplying water to a consumer from the water main to the main stop within a building or structure. The water meter within a building shall be installed at the outlet side of this main stop. If the meter is outside of the building, it shall be installed in a meter pit between the curb and sidewalk. No water meter shall be removed other than by an employee of the Municipality.
The part of the water service extending from the curb box or meter to the main stop within the building or structure shall be installed and maintained at the expense of the consumer and shall be installed to meet the requirements of these regulations.
