There is hereby established a fund known as the Holiday Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund by the town for the purpose of expending a local award from the Governor’s Task Force to Reduce Drunk Driving. The amount in the Fund is hereby designated for police overtime patrols during the holiday season in order to enhance the efforts to apprehend persons who operate vehicles while intoxicated. Upon completion of the holiday enforcement activities, all unexpended funds shall be returned to the Governor’s Task Force to Reduce Drunk Driving. In no event may any of the funds revert to the General Fund or any other heretofore established fund of the town.
