Pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 36-8-11-1 et seq., it is declared the intention of the Board of Commissioners of the county, to allow freeholders of the territory served by the Town Volunteer Fire Department to avail themselves of the provisions of said law and to participate in the operation of a Fire Protection District encompassing all of the territory contained within Georgetown Township, including the town, as of the date of the passage of this subchapter.
