The Town Council, acting through the enforcement authority or a person designated by the enforcement authority, may bring a civil action regarding unsafe premises in the Circuit, Superior, or Municipal Court of the county. Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-9-18 through 36-7-9-22 and successor statutes as they may be enacted, the civil action may request injunctions, civil forfeitures, appointment of receiver, court order authorizing performance of work and judgment of cost, and/or an emergency court order authorizing action to make premises safe and judgment for costs.
