§ 30.20  TOWN MARSHAL.
   (A)   The Town Council at its first meeting of the year shall appoint the Town Marshal, also known as the Chief of the Police.
   (B)   The Town Marshal is appointed to a term of one to four years with no limits to the times he or she may be appointed to serve with the exception that the Town Marshal’s term can’t exceed the term of office of the Council.
   (C)   The Town Marshal shall:
      (1)   Demonstrate honesty and integrity in every action and statement;
      (2)   Inspire public confidence in the town’s government;
      (3)   Serve as a model of leadership and civility to the community; and
      (4)   Not solicit political support from town employees.
