(A) All new connections to the wastewater utility system must pay for the extension(s) from the existing sewer mains to the location the new customer wants to use as his or her sewer connection. This extension shall be performed by town utilities employees or town-hired contractors, and the responsibility for routine maintenance of these extended lines is the town’s, once the extensions are in place. All sewerage pipes/lines running from the customer’s house/building to the sewer connection are the responsibility of the customer, for both installation and on-going maintenance. The construction fee shall be $200 or the actual costs incurred by the wastewater utility, whichever is greater.
(B) This construction fee shall be deposited into the town’s Wastewater Utility Operations Fund #606.
