All costs and expenses incidental to the installation and connection of the building sewer shall be borne by the owner(s), with the exception that the town shall, at its expense, inspect each septic tank which will be connected to the public sewer prior to connection. The inspection shall be for the purpose of ensuring that each septic tank connected to the public sewer is structurally sound and meets all criteria as provided in § 53.017. The owner(s) shall indemnify the town from any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation of the building sewer.
