It shall be the duty of the Village Solicitor to counsel and advise Council, Village officers and the Village Administrator, and all boards and committees appointed by or under such Council, Village officers and Administrator, in all legal matters; to draft all bylaws, ordinances, resolutions and other legal documents as may be required by Council, Village officers and the Village Administrator, and all boards and committees appointed by them; to defend or prosecute all legal actions in the courts or elsewhere on behalf of the Village and the officers thereof, as such officers, and to do any and all things commensurate with the duties of legal advisor and counselor as may be provided by the Ohio statutes and the Village ordinances.
