(a) No person shall take or catch any fish by angling or by netting in any of the water contained within the Veterans Memorial Park without a permit issued through the Village of Genoa.
(1) Fishing permit rates for 2001.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish in Veterans Memorial Park at any time except between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to dusk.
(c) Fishing in Veterans Memorial Park is permitted subject to the following regulations:
(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish in the bathing beach area located on the west side of the quarry.
(2) It shall be unlawful for any person to use any type of watercraft while fishing within Veterans Memorial Park.
(3) It shall be unlawful for any person to take or have in possession any minnows, or any other fish (dead or alive) to be used for bait within Veterans Memorial Park.
(4) It shall be unlawful for any person to clean any fish within Veterans Memorial Park.
(5) It shall be unlawful for any person to transport and introduce any aquatic species of (fish, invertebrate, plant) from one body of water to another.
(6) It shall be unlawful for any person to take crayfish, minnows, or aquatic insects at anytime within Veterans Memorial Park.
(7) It shall be unlawful to remove any fish without first returning to the check station (bathhouse) for inspection before leaving Veterans Memorial Park. In the event the check station is closed; a record of the catch must be dropped off at the Police Department, and/or inspected by a Police officer if available.
(8) All statewide fishing regulations apply to the quarry in Veterans Memorial Park, except when superseded by special regulations on the fishing permit.
(9) It shall be unlawful to ice fish within Veterans Memorial Park.
(10) The secretary at the Police Department will process all permits, and keep accurate records.
(11) The Genoa Police Department, along with the park director, shall enforce this section.
(d) Whoever violates any provision of this section, shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor, and fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), for each violation.
