7-1-1: DEFINITIONS:
   (A)   Adoption: The city hereby adopts definitions contained in Idaho Code title 49 for the purposes of enforcement of this title, except as specifically listed in this section.
   (B)   General Interpretation: Words used in the singular number include the plural and words used in the plural number include the singular, unless the context clearly indicates the contrary.
   (C)   Definitions Enumerated: The following listed specified words and terms are defined as follows:
   ABANDONED MOTOR VEHICLE OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY: An automobile or personal property which remains upon the streets or other public property for a continuous period of thirty (30) days, the owner of which cannot be located or the owner of which refuses to remove the same.
   CHIEF OF POLICE: The individual designated by city council to provide the duties and obligations described at title 6, chapter 1 of this code. In the event that no such individual has been designated by city council, the mayor shall provide such duties and obligations.
   POLICE DEPARTMENT: The public law enforcement agency composed of individuals employed by the chief of police or the public law enforcement agency contracted with by city council to provide law enforcement services.
   STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY: That property which the police department has reasonable grounds to believe to be stolen.
   UNIDENTIFIED MOTOR VEHICLE OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY: As used in this chapter is hereby defined to be such motor vehicles or other personal property where ownership thereof cannot be ascertained. (Ord. 395, 4-16-2013)
